No new models from Mazda at the Gaikindo Indonesia International Motor Show (GIIAS) 2015, but they did bring out the Mazda 2 Limited Edition, available only as a hatchback and limited to 200 units for Indonesia.
The Mazda 2 Limited Edition is unchanged mechanically. Powering the B-segment hatchback is a 1.5 litre Skyactiv engine with 110 PS and 141 Nm of torque. The DOHC with i-Stop motor is paired to a six-speed automatic gearbox with steering wheel paddle shifters.
Two colours are available – Soul Red Metallic and Snowflake White Pearl Mica. The red car gets a black cabin while the white car pictured above comes with a similarly pale interior. All interior lamps – map, room and trunk – are LEDs.
The LE’s changes are mainly aesthetic, and we see a front lip and side skirt extensions in black here, along with matching black door mirror caps. The rear section features a black shark fin antenna and a black spoiler.
The white car gets a red grille garnish and red rear diffuser element; both are grey on the red car. And of course, there are decals on the flanks as well to emphasise the sporty flavour.
The Mazda 2 Limited Edition is priced at Rp.272 juta (RM81,459) in Indonesia. Visual ideas for Malaysian Mazda 2 owners perhaps.
