Having introduced the service to East Malaysians back in 2013, Perodua is now extending the services of its mobile service team to Peninsular Malaysia. Known as the Perodua M-Team, the Malaysian car maker is looking to serve its customers located outside the typical range of its service outlets.
Perodua president and CEO, Datuk Aminar Rashid Salleh said, “this initiative is our way of making it easier for our customers to service their Perodua vehicles and also ensure peace of mind by providing them with genuine parts.”
“The Perodua M-Team will begin its journey to the East Coast in Kuala Berang, Ajil and Paka (Terengganu) from January 2016 onwards as we believe there are customers there who do not have access to our authorised service centres,” said Aminar.
The M-Team consists of a four-man team – a foreman, two mechanics and a service advisor. The mobile team is capable of carrying out vehicle service maintenance, providing technical advice, and performing vehicle inspections. Should your appointment be made in advance, you will also be able to make warranty claims.
But unlike the Toyota Hilux pick-up and Perodua Alza MPV used in East Malaysia, West Malaysians will get the service of a five-tonne lorry, modified to meet the M-Team’s requirements. The lorry can fit seven passengers in total and is equipped with a waste oil tank, a tail lift, a 5 kWv generator and a 3 hp compressor.
The service will only be available to Perodua owners in Terengganu come January 2016. Interested owners may make an appointment next year onwards by calling 019-9954949 from Saturday to Wednesday between 8.30 am to 5.40 pm and Thursdays from 8.30 am to 12.40 pm, beginning January 2016. Otherwise, the M-Team’s schedule and specific routes will be revealed next year.
