Perodua to assist KL flash flood victims – free towing to service centre, 20% off selected parts

Malaysia-Flash-Flood-2016

It’s not the first time Perodua is assisting flood victims, but this time, it’s for those who were caught in last week’s flash floods in the Klang Valley.

The maker of the Axia and Myvi will be providing assistance in the form of towing services, discounts on selected parts and free inspections to determine the amount of damage done to the vehicle, the company said in a release. Perodua customers with flood damaged cars have been urged to call the toll free customer care line at 1800-88-6600 for assistance.

“Our customers matter most to us and these value added services are provided to help relieve some of the burden our customers have to deal with during this disaster,” said Perodua president and CEO Datuk Aminar Rashid Salleh.

On the assistance given, Aminar said that Perodua customers can claim towing service up to a maximum of RM100 to the nearest Perodua service outlet. P2 is also offering 20% off selected parts to customers with flood damaged vehicles. The parts include all electronic items, carpets, seats, door trims and engine gasket.

In December last year, Perodua said that its flood assistance service (same towing and discount package as above) have been extended indefinitely and nationwide, so this is merely a reminder of the goodwill initiative.

That will depend on whether your insurance policy includes flood damage

Even with flood insurance, you need to check the clause. Sometimes being in the car or if the car was parked in a parking lot makes a difference.

Apparently, if u Drive into a flooded area, or u were stuck in a place n suddenly water washed away ur car then yes, u can claim… Bt if ur car was flooded in a car park or any parking area then no… Knowing how insurance claim works, there is no definite yes or no.. Depends how u talk to the manager… And whether they wanna be axxholes or not…

    MUAHAHAHA..

look at how the luxury marques just keep silent, even as far as giving a slight smirk, knowing that all the victims are gonna be bled dry from their service centres to repair all the damage caused by the floods.

and look at P2, everyone here can kutuk them as much as they want, but they’re the only ones actually extending an olive branch to those in need. you think this sort of exercise wont cost them money? u think P2 is not thinking about profit margins and sustainability? irrespective of all this, they’re willing to bite the bullet and alleviate the burden of those affected.

until u see another manufacturer willing to go the distance like what P2 is doing, all of the P2 haters and bashers need to sit down, shut up, take notice, and witness the example of gentleman-like behaviour by a “small player” in the automotive industry.

kudos to the P2 upper management for exemplifying what it means to be “berjiwa rakyat”.

people here day in day out complain only

at least its nice knowing some one on this blog that knows how to be thankful and appreciate a car manufacturer’s effort

in before some one will accuse us for being p2 insider or p2 salesman
their standard reply if they cant counter with their negativity

looks like there will be plenty of “soaked and washed” 2nd hand cars on sales for the next few weeks…due to the KL flash flood.

So, be careful out there, buyers.

You see that dark blue Scirocco 1.4? Well thats mine. I was at the traffic light thinking the flood was not high, all the lamp posts and traffic lights were on ground level. I did not however realise that the road is on a gradient, it sinks like a valley as you go forward. It could not be seen during any lighting or senses. Its a t the workshop now with VW and all is well.
