BMW has announced the M240i M Performance Edition, which is an M240i fully decked out in M Performance Parts. It is limited to 750 units and will be available from July.
Plenty of carbon fibre and black trim to contrast with the M240i’s Alpine White paintwork. The most eye-catching things are those 19-inch double-spoke forged alloys, which come with 225/35 tyres in front and 245/30 donuts at the back. Finished in bicolour Orbit Grey, they have a diamond polished visible side.
In front, the special edition features aerodynamics parts consisting of air guides, a splitter and bumper front section, which spoiler lip is finished in matte black. The radiator grille and kidney grille bars are also in black.
The partly painted rear diffuser, CF rear spoiler and carbon fibre tailpipe trim with embossed M logo adorns the rear. More carbon on the mirror caps and side sill attachments, the latter with foiled M Performance inscription.
BMW says that together, the M Performance Parts optimise the aerodynamic flow pattern around the car, optimising its handling and driving performance.
Full on M2 aside, the M240i is the range topper of the 2 Series Coupe range, which has just been facelifted along with the 2 Series Convertible. It is powered by a 340 hp inline-six turbo engine paired with either a six-speed manual gearbox or an eight-speed auto. BMW xDrive is an option for the auto and fitted as such, 0-100 km/h is completed in just 4.4 seconds. Yup, in a 2 Series!

Unlike AMG launched recently, this is M is just like a Tune D badged Preve. Even perf-craved richman knows what is true perf richman car, an AMG.
M is real legend in performance car, not like the chick AMG is at the TRD vios standard.
