Honda S660 Modulo X revealed for Japan – RM104k

The Honda S660 can now be had with a range of Modulo X parts in Japan, making the sporty kei car even more attractive than it already is. If you happen to live in said country, the S660 Modulo X goes for 2,850,120 yen, or about RM103,725 (includes the 8% consumption tax).

The Modulo X transformation involves an all-new bumper with large faux intakes, a black grille and a pair of LED daytime running lights. Along the sides, the wing mirrors are now painted black and there’s some skirting to go along with it.

Moving to the rear, you’ll find a more complex-looking bumper which still retains the integrated central exhaust, as well as an active rear wing. Staggered wheels are also part of the kit list, with 15-inch ones at the front and a 16-inch pair at the rear, both painted in a stealthy black hue.

The car is available in a choice of four colours, including dark grey, silver, white and blue, but all of them will come with a red soft-top. Honda says that for the regular S660, three new body colours have also been made available.

As for the interior of the S660 Modulo X, there is now two-tone leather and Lux Suede seats, plenty of red accents, Modulo X branding, aluminium pedals, a titanium shifter, leather-wrapped handbrake and unique floor mats.

The engine remains unchanged as per Japan’s kei car regulations, and continues to be a 660 cc, turbocharged DOHC three-cylinder engine with 64 hp and 104 Nm of torque. Buyers will get to choose between a six-speed manual and a CVT automatic gearbox.

While the engine is the same, there are a few mechanical improvements like adjustable five-stage dampers and an improved braking system. The latter includes drilled rotors and higher-performance brake pads.
