New Perodua Alza facelift revealed in Merdeka greeting

Now this is unexpected. In a Merdeka greeting posted on its official Facebook page, Perodua has given us our first glimpse of the new Alza facelift. As reported previously, the seven-seat MPV would be given an update before an all-new replacement is introduced.

The attached image shows us the front of the new Alza, which reveals a rather bold fascia. A new bumper is the key change here, one that features a wider lower intake that leads to repositioned fog lamps. These areas are clearly marked out in black, which creates an X-shaped design cue when alongside the car’s main body colour.

Replacing the bumper also results in the fitment of a new grille which is no longer framed by a lower chrome trim piece. Instead, there are now two slats with the Perodua badge residing in the middle, while a small black strip sits between it and the bonnet.

Current Perodua Alza S

In other areas, the car’s headlamps appear to be identical as before, although the inside of the clusters have been darkened to further highlight its components. The same can be said of the wheels, which look like the current ones on the Alza 1.5 Advanced but in a darker shade.

Expect changes to also involve the Alza’s rear as well as its interior, with the latter likely involving new trim and equipment. Under the bonnet, the Alza could adopt the Myvi’s 1.5 litre Dual VVT-i engine (2NR-VE) that makes 102 hp and 136 Nm of torque in the hatchback.

While the 2NR-VE unit provides the same output as the current Alza’s 1.5 litre DVVT unit (3SZ-VE), it gets the added benefit of Dual VVT-i for better fuel efficiency and exhaust emissions.

How can Perodua, which was born 10 yrs later than Proton do so well? Every year they make so much of money. They contribute so much to the Government in income tax and has never taken 1 sen from the Government.

The answer is very simple. Perodua uses reliable Toyota engines. And people know, Toyota is quality. Good engine and good RV. Beli Myvi tanpa was was.

This is a middle size family car which targeted middle income families with young children.. Equipped with ABS,airbags.. You want better equipped mpv with all the best specs? Go get from other brands but wait.. are you afford to own those expensive ones with your mediocre income? If your salary not more than 3k .. just wish to own those things.. I bet with 5k salary doesn’t guarantee to get loan approval too.. High commitment, bad previous records, low scoring.Nalaysia is a nation with the highest household debts in the world,..okay?

This car will be another top seller. erodua really make us proud. Until today, they never beg billions of bailout money and yet, they can do so well.

Amazing, Perodua sales are 4X more than Proton. Proton now can only sell 50,000 cars whilst Perodua now well over 220,000 cars.

We are proud of you Perodua. You work hard that is why you succeed

Perodua sold in 3 months more Myvis than PRoton sold for its ENTIRE range for 1 whole year.

This car still affordable. Who in Malaysia can afford RM100k Boyue? This car is half the price.

Remember Proton buyers are usually low income. This is why 78% of Proton’s total sales come from Saga and Persona.

Perdana sold at RM113k got ZERO buyers from the public because too high in price.

      Boyue at RM100k……who can afford?

My dad has an exora (turbo) and my aunt has an alza. Alza is only a bit better in term of being cheaper but other than that, exora is better. Seating comfort, spaciousness(it has fit 7 adults in it at once before), power (thanks to lotus tuned ride and handling). I’d even say its more powerful than the brand new innova but just lacks behind in sound insulation.

Perodua memang tak patut, dah tahu memang rakyat marhain tiada pilihan beli kereta berkualiti mampu milik – masih lagi recycle model lama. Org lain dah lama keluar engine turbo dgn transmisi cvt- lengkap ciri2 abs, ebd, vsc,acc & mcm2 c lagi tu tapi kualiti ke laut & kedarah minyak. Kesianlah pada customer sebab tiada pilihan. Tp jgn lupa old school temperature gauge.
