FF plate mahal? Here’s the top 20 most expensive number plates in Malaysia – all over RM500k!

The FF number plate series brought the highest revenue collection from any plate series since the launch of JPJ eBid according to transport minister Anthony Loke Siew Fook, and the highest-priced plate from the FF series at the time of its initial results announcement was ‘FF8’ which brought in RM950,000.

Another one from the FF series emerged to top the lot, and this was ‘FF1’ which was revealed to receive the winning bid of RM1.2 million from DYMM Sultan of Johor, Sultan Ibrahim Ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar, thus bringing the total revenue collected from the FF number plate series to RM35.4 million.

Before this, the Sultan of Johor had also successfully bid for the ‘F1’ plate for RM836,000, which was placed on a Proton Perdana. This sum was subsequently topped by the RM989,780 amount for the ‘V1’ plate, also by Sultan Ibrahim.

A post on the JPJ eBid Info Official Facebook group compiled a list of the most expensive number plates in Malaysia, which was topped before this by the ‘Malaysia 1’ plate that collected RM1,111,111, as part of the number plate series that collected more than RM13 million for its run.

The ‘FF1’ plate tops that list now with the aforementioned RM1.2 million sum paid. Here’s the list of the top 20 most expensive number plates so far in Malaysia:
