Perodua’s KLIMS13 concept, the Perodua Buddyz, is said to preview a possible upcoming Perodua sedan, and that if it ends up going into production, will slot in between the Myvi and the Alza in the Perodua range.
Since many car manufacturers use concept cars to preview future design directions, could Perodua’s Buddyz sedan concept be a preview of what next-generation Perodua cars such as the Perodua Myvi could look like?
Rendering whiz Theophilus Chin has come up with a five-door hatch version of the concept. We think the Buddyz design actually looks pretty good as a hatchback, and most would agree even better than it was as a sedan body. The car’s sharp edges gives it a very modern feel.
The current-generation Myvi is still relatively new, and it hasn’t even gone through its mid-life facelift yet, so a replacement model is still very far off. The second-generation Myvi was first launched in mid-2011, and could see a mid-life facelift applied sometime next year.
