Honda CR-V facelift – first photo surfaces online!

honda-cr-v-facelift-first-photo

Hey presto – the first photo of the facelifted Honda CR-V has found its way online! New are the front grille design (two-bar), front bumper (rectangular fog lamps), headlamp internals (with LED surrounds), wing mirrors (slimmer) and shuriken-like alloys.

What about the back? Well, our spyshots reveal a reshaped rear bumper and a new wing-shaped bar that runs across the Honda tailgate badge. There probably will be some minor changes to the interior – maybe all that touch- and HDMI-enabled stuff from the City, Jazz and HR-V/Vezel?

Reports speculate that everything underneath could be earning a repeat performance – North America should carry on with its 2.4 litre DOHC petrol engine, while Europe should get a 1.6 litre turbodiesel, a 2.2 litre turbodiesel and a 2.0 litre SOHC petrol.

Looks like a lot of chrome on the front end though.

Here’s hoping the price does not creep up here in Bolehland when the FL arrives here.

Six airbags, HID lights, BT hands free and electric seats for the 2.0 model pls?

  • Dear Editor,

For the Malaysian market, will the facelift CR-V be equipped with the Earth Dream 2.4L engine coupled with the CVT gearbox ??

  • Looking good :) the headlight’s DRL and the chrome line of the grille seem to be Integrated together in one piece.
To Honda Malaysia : pls bring in CRV with 2.4 Earth Dream tech engine together with 6 airbags (mostly family would buy this) with ABS and VSC as standard. And no CVT gearbox please.. Possible 6-speed auto as CVT is although smooth, it’s uninspiring

Yes. Can’t agree more. Honda should ditch the old 2.4L engine with the new earth dream unit. More torque and better fuel efficiency.

  • Now days for RM150K SUV we have so many choices to choose from, not just CRV anymore. There is Sante Fe, Sorento, Peugeot 3008 & 5008, Nissan Xrail, etc. Even for cars I do see a lot of other models already on our shore not just Toyota & Honda’s. Continental cars have become more affordable. The public has more options now!

Already hideous, now much more hideous.LOL. Better wait for next gen model….
Pure waste of money. This current generation crvs since day one already looks like Garbage collectors vehicle on the road.Ugliest honda vehicle in the lineup. Tuscon, new X-trail and cx5 are much better looking.

Bring in the 2.2T diesel… we needs a lots of torque for SUV… For the 2.4L price here… Subaru Forester XT seems like a more interesting alternative… 240hp with 350NM :)

    • yup agreed abt the diesel….just look at the santa fe 2.2 diesel producing 440nm of torque from low 1,800rpm compared to the CRV’s 2.4 petrol ivtec churning only abt 230nm from a very high above 4,000rpm

So this is the final evolutionary form of the Jazz…

    Jazz —> HR-V/Vezel —> CR-V

Ok, lame Pokemon joke aside, the CR-V now looks like a bit like giant Jazz.
