It appears that dealers just can’t wait to get the word out on the Mazda CX-3. Merely days after the crossover’s alleged price list surfaced on the Internet, this time, the full brochure for the CX-3 has been uploaded by the Mazda CX-3 Club Malaysia Facebook page, confirming much of what we already know.
Based on this low-res brochure, it appears the CX-3’s standard equipment list includes automatic LED headlights with adaptive front-lighting system, auto-levelling and LED daytime running lights. LED front fog lamps are also provided, although the rear units do not feature the light-emitting diode. Automatic wipers are also offered here, along with power-folding side mirrors (with turn indicators).
Inside, Mazda’s MZD Connect 7.0-inch multimedia system with Commander Control will occupy the dashboard, linked to six speakers. Navigation functionality will be a cost option (RM1,270) in the form of an inserted SD card, similar to the Mazda 2 hatchback/sedan. Automatic air-conditioning, leather suede seats, 18-inch wheels and a sunroof are also standard equipment for the CX-3.
The driver meanwhile, benefits from Mazda’s Active Driving Display (heads-up display) and a multi-function (multimedia and cruise control) leather steering wheel (electric power assisted) that comes with paddle shifters. There is also a drive selection switch (Sport mode), reverse camera and keyless operation (entry and engine start).
On the safety side of things, the CX-3 comes well equipped with DSC, traction control and ABS with EBD and BA. As for the airbag count, the crossover is fitted with six (dual frontal, side and curtain). Hill launch assist and emergency stop signal rounds up the safety suite. The brochure also confirms the absence of the i-ActivSense suite, possibly due to cost reasons.
Powering the CX-3 is a 2.0 litre SkyActiv-G petrol engine that outputs 146 hp at 6,000 rpm and 204 Nm of torque at 2,800 rpm. The SkyActiv-G engine is linked to a SkyActiv-Drive six-speed automatic gearbox, which directs drive to the front wheels only (2WD). Mazda’s i-Stop engine idling stop system is present here as well, automatically shuts down the engine when the vehicle is static to save fuel.
Five colours will be offered for the fully-imported (CBU) from Japan crossover – Soul Red Metallic, Crystal White Pearl, Jet Black, Meteor Grey and Deep Crystal Blue. We’ve been told during its preview that only 2,000 units will be offered initially, with plans to locally-produce (CKD) the model being heavily considered.
What do you think of the Mazda CX-3’s spec sheet? Is the RM131,218 (OTR without insurance) price tag enticing enough for you to place an order when it is launched on December 8? There’s no hiding the fact that the Honda HR-V will be the Mazda’s direct competitor. Which one takes the cake for you?

Looking to sell your car? Sell it with Carro.
You can’t be buying a CBU Mazda. Just gotta wait for CKD which they will price it much cheaper.
if you must have a mazda….take a closer look at the base cx5….has everything you need from the cx3…and better….climate control, 40:20:40 split fold seats, more space….
Underpower, boring
Surely we want this but ahhhh…the pricing….this kind of price will force the majority to queue for HR-V, XV and the like.
The 7-airbag ASX is much better at similar price, or the basic Teana.
Can I afford it with a RM2000 payslip ? I want this car so bad
U need a payslip in SINGAPORE DOLLAR $2000
ABSOLUTELY NOT ! Unless you wait after 3-5 yrs
u can enjoy ur life in various way rather than be a debt slave, be patient, work harder and u will be the proud cx3 owner soon
The difference of RM10000 means a lot to the buyer in this segment. The market condition is not so good lately so “a penny saved is a penny earned”

Small SUV VS Compact Cars?
:p
Nice car in terms of looks and specs but the price will not make it a threat to HRV sales. It would appeal to people who can afford to splurge a little – just a bit – for a little bit of exclusivity and novelty (but not much). In any case it expands and brightens up the small crossover segment scene which is all good.
192 Nm at 4000 rpm doesn’t sound right..
What sound right for you within that class and category?
The actual spec ought to be 192 Nm at 2800 rpm
Confirmed by mazda malaysia already. Made a mistake in their brochure.. Its 156hp 205nm at 2800.
It suppose to be at 2800rpm. I think there’s a mistake in their brochure
I saw it already in flesh..quite small comparevto hrv..but cbu really worth of penny
Hmm, where is the promised Diesel engine version? Gosh, paying for that amount of price is only worth it if there is Diesel variant offered. Was looking forward to that after all otherwise I can’t think of a reason to even switch to Mazda.
Again BERMAZ have screwed up Malaysian. Initial said it to be launch with 150HP & 204NM torque high spec. But now downgraded in to 146HP & 192NM medium specs. It dont believe, please browse back on earlier report here
no need to thank bermaz, thank weak ringgit…
Twice bitten, lessons learned. Over priced CBU CX-5 & Mazda 3
not much of a power difference as compared to the HRV. Ppl buying this car has to compare them solely on visual and spec but not power as there isnt much gain from the additional 0.2 litres difference.
According to a user here, we can’t buy this car as there is no armrest, so if price at RM100k also no-go boo :(
It will be 135k with insurance. A bit pricey but then the car is fully loaded with features.
Delete some features and ckd it I’m sure this car can match the price of the market leading Honda HRV.
The new Hyundai Tucson high spec going for 139k, without insurance, well much advanced features and more in space compared to CX-3, would that be a better buy?..nah don’t talk about RV, not even the T & H brands have great RV anymore…market being flooded with many models and brands…
With Tucson, it will not only with RV but more on poorv engine performance, ride & handling and finishing…If you want Korean badly, go for Santa Fe..
Price drifted so much…
Even at the same price, I would still choose the HRV as it has more practical space in it
Nice car with nice specs but sadly price tag is too high. Would have been a success if priced just below RM120k.
one Word says all OVERPRICE, OVERPRICE, OVERPRICE
wait for CKD
Too expensive for a B segment SUV. But i think there are some ppl still think that is worth to pay extra 20-25k for CBU than a CKD.. lol
better top up a little bit to get the germany x1
yep for a cbu at this price ppl still buy it.
they can tell you their car is made in japan ^^
not worth the price of rm130k.
yes you will get compact SUV, CBU and iconic soul red color, but with 130k and no i activsense safety package, an CKD mazda 3 is a better buy.
by the way is this CX-3 comes with TPMS?
For the same price I can go for Accord base spec and now can get more discount.Plus the seats and interior now already change to darker instead of beige color.
Definitely queue for HRV or XV. Otherwise CKD then.
