The updated 2017 Honda Jazz facelift was officially launched in Malaysia yesterday, with two engine options: the same 1.5 litre i-VTEC petrol as before and a new 1.5 litre Sport Hybrid i-DCD. Prices range from RM74,800 to RM88,400, with the hybrid model tucked in at RM87,500 (all prices OTR with insurance).
Changes on the outside aren’t exactly drastic, this being a mid-life facelift rather than a full refresh. The interior gets minimal updates too, with Honda Malaysia focussing on giving more value – each grade gets new features, with the lower models receiving items previously reserved for more expensive variants.
The Jazz Hybrid is all new, being the only hybrid model to be sold under RM90,000 in Malaysia. Its powertrain offers a combined output of 137 PS and 170 Nm of torque, which Honda claims is equivalent to a 1.8 litre naturally-aspirated engine, while returning as much as 25 km/l (compared to the 1.5 petrol’s 17.2 km/l).
Do watch our first look walk-around video above for a closer look, and head on to CarBase.my for the full detailed specifications and equipment of the 2017 Honda Jazz facelift range.

Not to belittle Friz’s efforts.
Perhaps it’s high time for PT to get a vivacious eye candy to up viewership to next levels ! Heheheh
Toyota Yaris in Thailand and Indonesia look much nicer than this Jazz, why Toyota so scare to compete with Honda in Malaysia.Afraid of losing market share to its own Vios Price range in fact losing out to Honda’s better selection.
Can you recommend anyone?
Am ok with a Paula Tan or Harvinder Kaur in heels & blonde wigs *sheepish grins

Hafriz, still.. please stay away from the camera
Thanks to Honda there is going to be a revival of interest in the affordable Hybrid segment.
Dun let them bashers take u down, Haf. Kipidap & curry on! Although practice do makes perfect, u might wanna get some pointers from TV presenters and radio DJs.
Consider a used Elantra. Much better value for money
Great introduction Hafriz!!
As this is marketed as a sport hybrid, it should come with a tachometer like the CRZ . As usual, i dont like cars that dont come with a temperature meter. It feels risky that i cannot monitor that thing myself.
