Honda Malaysia (HM) has released a special edition of its best seller, simply called the Honda City Special Edition (SE). Available in the new Passion Red Pearl and White Orchid Pearl, the SE is based on the mid-level E spec, but with extra equipment and a lower price.
The City SE is priced at RM75,955 and RM76,075 for the Passion Red Pearl and White Orchid Pearl colours respectively, on-the-road without insurance. The regular price for the City E is RM79,955, so you do get a good deal.
Value-added features include a digital video recorder (DVR, a.k.a. dashcam), built-in toll reader, door visors and a trunk organiser. The DVR records real-time video of your journeys and includes rear view recording. You can never be too sure on the road these days, and a dashcam preserves evidence of what actually happened when there’s a dispute.
The built-in toll reader is like the aftermarket LokaTAG or the unit integrated in the top Perodua Myvi. Essentially a Smart Tag connected to your car’s power source, having this would mean no more 9V battery changes or physically taking out and storing a Smart Tag every time you approach a toll booth. Slot in your Touch n Go card and the small antenna (stuck to the inside of the windscreen) will do the rest.
The door visors and boot organiser are self-explanatory. The City is powered by a 1.5 litre i-VTEC engine with 120 PS and 145 Nm of torque, paired with a CVT. There’s also a City Hybrid variant that gets a lithium-ion battery and seven-speed dual-clucth automatic transmission.
The City has been the biggest sales contributor for HM, making up 34% of total sales for the company while maintaining its top position in the non-national B-segment from January to July 2019. By the way, HM is currently having a “Road to 900,000th Unit Milestone Campaign” with nine cars to be given away. No purchase needed to join the contest, but buying one adds to your chances, of course. Do check it out.

Wouldn’t have hurt them much to include all these into the entire City lineup.
“Dual-clucth” clutch is spelt wrongly :)
Tq grammer police
Slap on aftermarket DVR and stick the card reader into the small glove compartment with double sided tape. lol!
In Japan, JDM City comes with Honda Sense. Why didn’t they bring it here?
Honda is really feeling the heat coming from the competition and preparing to meet the challenge from X50 coming soon.
Only Honda thinks slapping on items like DVR,door visors and a trunk organiser is added-value.
In that case, my 25 years old car can be advertised as “value-added” when I decided to sell it.
More like “Clear Old Stocks” campaign before the launching of next generation of Honda City.
Yes that right
So now honda copycat toyota.cant wait for 360 camera

Actually current Vios still cannot sell. Now it’s on life support dy.
Sales must be badly hit by Perodua and proton these days
