This is important transition for Proton saga from wholely proton built to integration of a foreign engine and drivetrain. that’s not being backward for being business savvy decision. use a good engine and keep cost down. focus of what proton is good at .. chasis and handling. integrate from established maker parts and make good reliable economy class car. I think Saga hit the right segment locally and it’s export market. step by step integrate hybrid technology from geely into Saga as it goes. there will be export market interested especially when we have Geely powertrain behind it.
