Honda’s Urban SUV Concept – official images surface

Honda-Urban-SUV-Concept-01

Compact SUVs are now all the rage, and here’s what Honda’s future player could look like. The Japanese giant’s Urban SUV Concept was teased back in December 2012, but here are some official images that have surfaced ahead of the concept’s Detroit debut.

The Urban SUV a B-segment crossover based on the next-gen Jazz, and Honda says it’s “a global concept model combining a sporty and dynamic SUV profile with a spacious, functional interior.”

The most famous car of this sort is the Nissan Juke, while newer entries include the Peugeot 2008, Renault Captur and Chevrolet Trax. Ford has the EcoSport, a Fiesta-based SUV that has been recently caught testing in Thailand. Baby CR-V anyone?

    • Criticism will still come if its a proton. But a Kia or a hyundai , PT warrior will go like ‘woah , better than any overprice T&H’
      Ain’t that right, Name?

      • Nope. I do hope Honda use this design. I am sick of ugly Japanese car. Please don’t make my eye suffer anymore sushi..

        • Haha, that’s quite a surprise from the anti-T&H crusade that I have been following. Well, This Honda dose’t have rediculus proportion of a concept car, so it is likely it will go unchanged into production. Since the Civic tragedy, most of their global design duties has been shifted towards their Californian design studios.

I think a baby CR-V would sell well here in Malaysia. Any news about the engine, guys?? I’m guessing something like the R18A perhaps?? L15A seems to small la for this kind of car (Although Toyota did put a 1.5L engine in the Rush, right?).

  • Being a concept, those headlights freak me out. but other than that it looks like a stylish SUV….concept. Now weather it will go unchanged into production, that’s another question.

It looks like the current KIA nothing concept about it,it better go into production ASAP before KIA comes out with new cue, then its forever playing catch. The Korean is doing the Samsung thingy in automobile,it was the japanese that taught the German, you need to refresh your product faster, now its the Korean with a german designer that is wreaking havoc in car design cycle.

Baby CR-V? B-segment ? The concept SUV is not bad, quite stylist and innovative. The back passenger door hander perhaps copied from Korean Roodster. Important is the Engine, reliablity, performance and the price. Hope to get more update imformation, technical spec. or spy shots. T Q.
