Honda Australia has announced the Honda Civic Hatch Orange Edition, of which only 100 units will be available Down Under. Compared to the regular Civic Hatch, as the five-door is officially called there, the Orange Edition is in Crystal Black Pearl with Tuscan Orange highlights across the exterior.
The Orange Edition gets Jet Black 17-inch alloys to match the black body, an orange front lip, orange rear under spoiler, orange side skirts and an orange decal set. The latter includes an orange stripe on the wing mirrors and orange graphics on the lower part of the doors. Available on VTi, VTI-S, VTi-L and VTi-LX trim levels, the orange pack adds A$2,998 (RM9,617) to the Civic’s price.
Seen this before? The Civic Hatch Orange Edition is essentially the Civic Hatchback with Modulo kit that we snapped at the 2017 Bangkok International Motor Show in March, with the addition of the decals and Honda-badged rim centre caps in place of the Thai showcar’s Modulo ones.
In Australia, the Civic Hatch can be had with a 1.8L SOHC i-VTEC NA engine with 141 PS/174 Nm or a 1.5L VTEC Turbo engine with 173 PS and 220 Nm of torque from 1,700 to 5,500 rpm. Like in Thailand, there’s no six-speed manual option, only a CVT automatic with paddle shifters in the turbo variants. Honda Malaysia doesn’t see enough demand for the Civic Hatch to make a business case for this – what do you think?

Still looks black
If orange = black, then orange + black = black + black = 2black. So of course it’s black.
All I can see is a black Civic with orange skirting with orange front lips & back diffuser.
Why the fake bumper vents? Why, why, why??!!!
Dear Honda Malaysia,
Please bring us this Honda Hatchback into Malaysia.
Sincerely,
Someone that wants to buy that car so badly.
