This Lexus LC 500 is now RM52,566 cheaper

Official Lexus distributor UMW Toyota Motor has published new prices of Lexus vehicles without the goods and services tax (GST) on its website. This is in line with the government’s move to set GST to zero percent on June 1, ahead of a formal reintroduction of the sales and service tax (SST) sometime down the line.

Looking at the list, substantial savings are in store, with even the cheapest Lexus – the IS 300 Premium (née IS 200t Premium) – being RM16,815 less expensive at RM280,985. On the SUV side, the base NX 300 Urban has dropped below the RM300,000 mark, coming in RM17,610 lower at RM294,290.

Of course, the more expensive the car, the bigger the savings become. The priciest car here, the LS 500h, retails at RM1,376,672 – representing a massive RM82,328 saving. Meanwhile, the gorgeous LC 500 coupé dips under the RM900,000 mark, sitting pretty at RM887,434, RM52,566 cheaper. All prices listed are on-the-road without insurance, inclusive of a five-year, unlimited-mileage warranty.

One notable omission is the ES, prices of which have been removed from the site. This hints that the new seventh-generation model, which was unveiled last month, is due for our shores shortly.
