Honda Malaysia has announced that it is set to introduce six new models in 2026. This was revealed by its MD and CEO, Narushi Yazaki, at the company’s annual media gathering held earlier tonight. The six new offerings will assist in the push towards a baseline sales target of 60,000 units that the company has set for the year.
There was no intimation to the identity of the six, but some vehicles are certain, in that they have been earmarked for our market. The first of these is the new Prelude, which was teased via a social media post late last year – the BF1 is certain to make it here later this year.
There’s also the Super-One, the small kei-sized EV which Honda has previously said was set for ASEAN markets, including Malaysia. Up to early this year, it was almost certain that the hatchback was on the way in, having been caught testing in Malaysia back in November.
However, the RM250k minimum price cap that has now been imposed by the government on new CBU EV models might change that. Until clarity on the matter comes, it’s not a certainty the Super-One is one of the six, but we’ll count it anyway.
The other four are harder to spot, but we’ll hazard a guess. There’s a very remote possibility that the StpWgn e:HEV could be one of them, given that the MPV has already made its way into Thailand and Indonesia. Still, it’s a long shot, I’d think. Another long shot is the Elevate SUV.
More likely is something closer to home, like the minor change version of the CR-V (which was given an update for 2026 in Thailand in December). What else? Well, the WR-V and City/City Hatchback could be candidates for updates, but anything coming about would be minor. We’ll know in due time.

bring back the BRV la deyy. that can kacau alza market ady, if u guys put reasonable price on it.
Good move to bring mpv to Malaysia, too much SUV in market.
Honda Stepwgn less rival in Malaysia market but only Serena.
Honda freed better option for family, grab and courier part timer.
Lastly market is different now, sliding door mpv give good resale value compared those conventional mpv.
If still doesn’t include BSM & 360 Cam and the price is stubbornly high, dead on arrival then
Make sure not forgetting to lower MSRP since Yen already so weak comparative to Ringgit
I would like both the StepWGN and Freed. Though unlikely. Maybe a return of the Accord as a CBU import?
