Proton’s wholesale refurbishment of its sales and service network continues with the launch of an upgraded 3S centre in Shah Alam. Operated by Rahman Brothers Automotive, the outlet also wears the new light blue colour scheme as part of a revised corporate identity introduced last month.
The existing facility has been enhanced and renovated to meet the national carmaker’s new standards for a 3S category outlet, the company said. It features 12 service bays, nine hoists and one delivery bay, plus a lounge with 14 seats, a kid’s area, coffee-making facilities and free WiFi. There are also 14 customer parking bays, including one for the disabled.
Said to be located in a busy commercial area along the town’s second main road (Persiaran Jubli Perak), the upgraded outlet is expected to increase sales and service throughput by up to 50%. Director of Rahman Brothers Automotive Mohd Nazrin bin Mohamad Fozi said that the new image will make the centre more prominent in Shah Alam, which would contribute to this higher throughput.
The new Proton 3S outlet will be open seven days a week for both sales (9:00 am to 7:00 pm) and service (8:30 am to 5:30 pm Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 2:30 pm Saturday and Sunday).
Looking to sell your car? Sell it with Carro.
why all service center must have individual sofa seat? i prefer the longer design without the hand rest..so more people can sit or baring..:D
This is to avoid people like you who love to abuse the seat.
This place became famous last time when Boyue preview was made there lel.
Congratulations Rahman Brothers Automotive Sdn Bhd. Your faith will be rewarded handsomely!
Proton, Geely > all
What is the differences in 3S and 4S? What is those “S” stand four? I do know Sales and Service, didn’t know the remaining.
S could also mean spare parts and spray/body panel services.
3S means sales, service, spare parts
4S is the same thing but with spray/body panel fixing services.
Sale, Service, Spare parts, Survey
1. sales
2. service
3. spare parts
4. spray paint
5. system (to differentiate workshop with computer diagnosis and those without in the 2000s)
6. second hand cars (dealers which have used car for sale on display, not popular in malaysia but a lot in UK.
there are up to 7S, one more i also forgot. :D
I think
1s = sales
2s = services
3s = sales n services
4s = sales services and body&paints…
Years ago Nasi Lemak Antarabangsa had their Kota Damansara outlet equipped with aircond, WiFi and the waiters dressed in bow ties and vest. Memang upmarket but only last for few months before it bungkus.
All these upgrading gimmick won’t help unless you upgrade the main product of your business which is the quality of the car and the knowledge & attitude of your employees.
Why don’t u read previous article talk about p1 quality n blabla
You clearly haven’t thought that comparison through.
When you sell nasi lemak, no matter how good your place is you are only selling nasi lemak. People come in, they, then they’re out. That restaurant isn’t selling the internet and cooling services. To cover the cost you’d then have to raise prices of your produce, and that drives away customers because it doesn’t add any “visible” value to the product (pay RM2.00 extra just so the business owner can afford the electricity bill and internet?).
On the other hand, a car sales centre that only sells would be just like that nasi lemak place, only worse. People come in, they buy a car, they get out and if they liked it enough they would probably return in 3-7 years to buy another one….probably. Now if that same place also have services that would make the customers return and pay for those services, then it becomes more profitable without directly adding to the price tag of the products. People buy cars, then they may also return for servicing, and then they would also come in to buy spare parts, do other minor repairs, all in one convenient location. That same centre can also become the company’s survey hub because of the greater number visitors (reducing cost of market research). They can find out what problems the cars are having, what customers want in current models, what people browsing for cars want, the age group, where they come from, etc.
Good quality product – Proton ado? Takdo
Good customer service – Proton ado? Takdo
Foreman with good service knowledge – Proton ado? Takdo
Staff with good working attitude – Proton ado? Takdo
People not buying Proton because no coffee making machine and sofa at SC or people not buying because car problems unsolved after months (no spare part, cannot identify problem …etc)?
Come on dude, think everything through before you post!
The upgrading of these centres has been stated as a part of the upgrading of the staff, products, and policies for Proton as well. You seriously think with the management skill, knowledge, and tech that Geely has all they will ever do is upgrade sales centres?
The upgrades of sales cetres is the subject of this article, but in no way it represents the ONLY step Proton/Geely is taking.
Quality of Proton cars have improved tremendously. I had similar perception as you years ago. Ever since my son bought me an Iriz for my day use I tend to enjoy the ride. I also find it trouble free, safe & low in maintenance.
The only setback in the quality of after sales services which they are now addressing.
Don’t underestimate the quality of the newer Proton models (Iriz, Persona, Perdana…) until you own one.
The kids area, make sure it is housed far away …….
